But it was not purely a question of ethnicity. Ordinary Afghans, weary of the prevailing lawlessness in many parts of the country, were often delighted by Taleban successes in stamping out corruption, restoring peace and allowing commerce to flourish again.
Their refusal to deal with the existing warlords whose rivalries had caused so much killing and destruction also earned them respect.
The Taleban said their aim was to set up the world's most pure Islamic state, banning frivolities like television, music and cinema.
Their attempts to eradicate crime have been reinforced by the introduction of Islamic law including public executions and amputations.
A flurry of regulations forbidding girls from going to school and women from working quickly brought them into conflict with the international community.
Such issues, along with restrictions on women's access to health care, have also caused some resentment among ordinary Afghans.
The Taleban now control all but the far north of the country, which is the last stronghold of the ethnic Tajik commander Ahmed Shah Masood.
With 90% of the country under their control, the Taleban have continued to press claims for international recognition.
But the Afghan seat at the United Nations continues to be held by former President Burhanuddin Rabbani.
The UN sanctions which have now been imposed on the country make it even less likely that the Taleban will gain that recognition.
The sanctions are intended to force the Taleban to hand over the Saudi-born militant Osama Bin Laden, who is accused by the United States of plotting the 1998 bombings of US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, which killed more than 250 people.
The Taleban say that Osama Bin Laden is a guest in their country, and they will not take action against him.
Afghanistan has suffered 20 years of war, and this year has brought the worst drought in decades.

Linda Cardellini in ER
Linda Cardellini reprises the role of nurse Samantha Taggart on the hit medical drama, “ER” as the series begins its twelfth season.ER is one of the best TV dramas I like very much.
In addition to her role on “ER,” Cardellini will be seen in three films this year; Aric Avelino’s drama “American Gun,” starring as part of an ensemble that includes Donald Sutherland and Forest Whitaker; Nick Goossen’s comedy “Nana’s Boy” with Shirley Jones, Shirley Knight, Doris Roberts and Nick Swardson and in “Brokeback Mountain” for director Ang Lee.
Linda is one of the pretty girls in ER.
She was most recently seen in the sequel to the hit live-action animated feature “Scooby Doo,” which also starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Matthew Lillard. Cardellini reprised her role as Velma Dinkley, the brains of Mystery, Inc., in “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.”

Afghanistan's Taliban threatened to start killing 23 South Korean hostages Wednesday if their demands were not met, and claimed responsibility for kidnapping a German journalist.

The reporter, whom officials said was seized with his translator in eastern Afghanistan while investigating civilian casualties in NATO air strikes, is the third German national in a week to be abducted in the war-torn country.
Even I dont like the way US handle the Taliban people, but Taliban are not good guys.
The Islamist Taliban said talks to free the Christian aid workers from South Korea had stalled and vowed to kill some of them later Wednesday if eight jailed insurgents were not released by the Afghan government.
Taliban is going to Korean people this time.
The deadline has already expired. Those Korean will be killed 2:00 pm.
Ahmadi charged that the government of President Hamid Karzai was "not honest in negotiations.
We have given them the list of eight Taliban prisoners for exchange for eight Koreans but they are dealing with the issue carelessly.
The deadline passed with no further claims from the militants about the fate of the Korean hostages.
The fresh threat came despite frantic negotiations by South Korean and Afghan officials who have travelled to the insurgency-hit southern province of Ghazni to lead the efforts to save the hostages, who are mainly women.

Deep DNA Memory

a black day in New York 7/19
An underground steam pipe explosion tore through a New York street near Grand Central Terminal yesterday, swallowing a tow truck and killing one person as hundreds of others ran for cover amid a towering geyser of steam and flying rubble.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the explosion was not terrorism, though the blast caused a brief panic about a possible attack.
Eighteen people were taken to local hospitals, officials said.
One person was pronounced dead from an apparent heart attack. Two were in critical condition and another two were seriously injured.
The others suffered minor injuries.
The explosion caused widespread chaos as residents and commuters heard a huge blast -- and feared for the worst.
Thousands of commuters evacuated the train terminal, some at a run, after workers yelled for people to leave the building.

Esquire (abbreviated Esq.) is a title of honour and dignity ranked below a knight and above a gentleman, allowed, for example, to the sons of nobles and to the gentry who do not possess any other title.
It ultimately derived from the medieval term squire.

John Woo - one of the great director ..
John Woo is a Chinese film director and producer from hong kong.
Woo is widely known for his stylised movies which are renowned for their balletic action sequences, Mexican stand-offs, and use of slow-motion.
Yes...very slow and funny motions..ha ha
He directed the notable Hong Kong action films, A Better Tomorrow, Hard Boiled, and The Killer.
some are good..some are very good..
His English-language movies include Hard Target, Broken Arrow, Face/Off, and Mission: Impossible 2.

Andy Lau
Andy has since appeared in more than 100 films, and has a huge fan base throughout Asia with the success of both his onscreen performance and his musical career.
Andy is best known for his roles in the King of Gamblers.
Andy was from TVB.
The first lead role that made his initial popularity was the TVB series Hunting in 1982.
In the same year, Andy acted in his first movie Boat People.

miami beach
dont know why but many people say miami beach is beautiful ...
sorry to tell u, it may be a beautiful beach in US, but compare to those beachs in Asia, it is ...
the water and sand are so drity ....just cant stand swimming over there ....
